Amine Plants

Removal of Hydrogen Sulfide and Carbon Dioxide from Liquid and Gaseous Hydrocarbons

PPE has extensive experience in H2S and CO2 removal.  We design and build Amine Plants in our shops in Houston, Texas for a wide range on customers and applications.

For applications in which the produced hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon product contains a sulfur compound, PPE offers an effective method to sweeten the gas stream and remove hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide ("sour gas" or  "acid gases").

Amine Plants can also remove acid gases from liquid hydrocarbons such as Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG).

PPE has been an industry leader in Amine Plant design, engineering, manufacture, installation and operation since 1974.

We maintain complete control over all phases of the manufacturing process from the initial meeting with the customer through the successful on-time, on-budget startup of the equipment designed specifically for you by our experts.

Amine Plants are a proven process using aqueous solutions of amines to remove hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide. Amines commonly used in the process include monoethanloamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), and methyldiethanolamine (MDEA).

PPE's Amine Plants are operating successfully worldwide today for a wide range of customers and in a variety of applications. For more information on these hydrogen sulfide, sulfur, and carbon dioxide removal processes, just follow the links above.
